Despite zero radio play, Tyler the Creator’s third album was able to sell crazy numbers its first week.
“Wolf” opened at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, moving 89,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
The independently released LP has features from Frank Ocean, Pharrell and Erykah Badu, among others. The Odd Future frontman supported the album with appearances on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” and “The Late Show with David Letterman.”
“Wolf” nearly doubled the numbers of Tyler’s previous album, “Goblin”, which debuted at No. 5 with 45,000 copies sold.
